Prompt Stomp Week 16

Hello Folks! Welcome back to Prompt Stomp.

I am here, not only to give you a new prompt, but I’m here to tell you this will be the last week of Prompt Stomp. My hope was to keep this going for a long time, but sometimes things must come to an end. The Hood will eventually hold another event/challenge but with much better planning and preparation.

Prompt Stomp has been fun and I have met some very talented people along the journey. 16 successful weeks of photos, stories, poems, life lessons and more. I’ve learned a lot about others as well as myself and after long thought and debate with myself, it is time to move forward to new things!

So on that note, our prompt will be all about endings.

Here are a few ideas to get you started

  • Photos of the fork in the road, dead ends or “no outlet”
  • Stories about when all good things come to end.
  • Anything with a fairy tale ending
  • Sonnets, Odes or limericks about “The End”

Prompt Stomp Week 14-

Welcome to Prompt Stomp! I’m excited for you to be here today!

Prompt Stomp is a weekly event that delivers both a Photography Prompt AND a Writing Prompt. It is open to all Types of artists from poets to digital artists, story tellers and more! If you’re new to Prompt Stomp you can browse this post for details or head over to the official page!

Lets get started!

Our photography Prompt this week is: “Things that Are Small”

I recently purchased some new lens attachments for my camera that help with Macro magnification and also a set of lenses that help filter unwanted light, shadows and UV. I have been having way to much fun playing around with them and getting to know my camera better, which also gave me the inspiration for this weeks Prompt.

Share at least 3 photos showing something small, tiny, little or miniature. Show me your best shots! 🙂

This week, lets write a story or explanation about “SURVIVAL”

This can be anything Fiction or Non-Fiction, Poetry or Essays.

Survival is written into our DNA. Mankind has survived throughout the ages, through plague, catastrophe, natural disaster and war. TV and the big screen create stories based on survival. Reality TV shows make a game of it and many people prepare (preppers) in case they have to live it.

“It’s survival of the fittest”

It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change.” — Charles Darwin

“We don’t even know how strong we are until we are forced to bring that hidden strength forward. In times of tragedy, of war, of necessity, people do amazing things. The human capacity for survival and renewal is awesome.” —Isabel Allende

Prompt Stomp Week 13- Welcome 2016!

Happy New Year to all of you! I truly hope that you had a wonderful holiday and that you brought the new year in with a bang! Thank You all for being here, and contributing over the past 12 weeks. It has been very fun and I’m excited about what 2016 is going to bring. Lets get started!!!

I want to first start with the featured bloggers for Week 11 and Week 12.

Week 11 Prompt was all about what/why you love something and things you find lovely. Please take a stroll and visit these wonderful bloggers!

Week 12 Prompt was all about movement and resolutions. Since it was the holidays, there weren’t very many entries. I imagine that life, family and celebration took precedence over Prompt Stomp. WHICH is totally okay with me!!!  I did get a couple entries which I will feature and I hope you will check out as well!

Now, its a whole new year and I want to have a lot of fun with this weeks prompt.

For our Photography prompt I want us to focus on Bokeh or Blurry shots.

…In photography, bokeh is the aesthetic quality of the blur produced in the out-of-focus parts of an image produced by a lens. Bokeh has been defined as “the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light”….

For this week, share at least 3 photos of BOKEH or BLURRY shots. Below are some of my own examples that I took over the holidays of the Christmas lights/decorations.

For our writing prompt this week I want us to write about a SUPER HERO.

“…I love dressing up in superhero outfits and in fact, when I dress up as Wonder Woman, I actually think that I’m more powerful…”

—Olivia Munn

Real or made up. A super hero can be anybody. The lady next door who devotes her time to the needy, our soldiers across the seas or like our heroes growing up we can write about Batman or Wonder Woman. A super hero can take many forms. Lets write about them this week!
