CCY: Horizontal Lines

This week in Cee’s Compose Yourself Challenge, we are continuing the theme of lines. Last week we focused on the leading lines. The lines that draw you into and through the photo. This week, horizontal lines or Horizon.

I chose a few photos that showed more than one line. The stairs to my basement. A log dwelling with hundreds of carved names in it. A trinket box with a pattern of horizontal lines and of course, I can’t forget the sunset on the horizon. I was surprised, once focused on the theme, how many horizontal lines surround me. The patterns on my comforter, my couch cushions, the blinds. I had a hard time choosing what to photograph, so I took a lot of photos. I decided to go with these.
