Frozen temperatures are hitting the Northern parts of Colorado. The Mountain Peaks are covered in white powder already, and the leaves have all fallen to there demise. This morning, again, we had another great frost overnight, leaving ornately placed crystals on everything.
For this weeks Weekly Photo Challenge, I chose to do the iced out nature in my backyard. I have done a post similar to this for the WPC: Careful. With this, I had to “carefully” take the photos with out disturbing the crystals, same goes for this week too. The difference is, capturing the “ornate” details.
I chose to capture these again, because lets face it, the moisture or water creates such in depth designs and one of a kind formations, that is would be silly of me not to consider this for “ornate” design.
Enjoy!

The first few are always the prettiest I think, because there is still a lot of color left over from summer and fall so the contrast in colors really POP! 🙂

Wow! You have frost already? We haven’t even turned on the heat here in sunny FL!

Yes we have frost. And I would much rather be in FL than here. Just because I am not ready for the snow and cold and scraping car windows and the worst, shoveling the walk. UGH.

This is beautifully cold, I feel like a microscope when I look at each because I see so much frosty details. So cool!

I love photography! I think I need to take some more classes! I’d love to learn more!!! Yes, Haylee is a great photographer as well! Her pictures always make me wish I was where she is!!!! 🙂

I do too. The best way to learn is just go out and do it. Perfect your own skill and talent. Find your niche in the photo world. I take my camera with me everywhere, literally. Sometimes a trip to the grocery store can turn up something awesome or crazy! I would love to go outside the states, UK being one place I would love! I live through Haylee for the moment!

Absolutely beautiful! There is no snow on my sunny island but if I did have cooler weather it would be great to capture photos such as these; totally awesome and thanks for sharing 🙂

These are beautiful. It must be tough for the plants, though. Not sure I’d want to wear an icy bonnet like that flower. 🙂

I wouldn’t want to. Poor things are sure tough. If it were me, I would have wilted already. Thank You for taking a peek! 🙂

Absolutely stunning! LOVE that first one…we have no flowers left, though we do have frost now. I went on a walk through the woods and got some interesting shots…but nothing as glamorous as these! Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Thank You for the sweet comments. All of our flowers are now gone or buried under the snow we got over the holiday. I miss them already. Thank You for visiting! 🙂
